I am writing this to you, faithful readers, to ask you an important question. Yes, this is a blog about our pets, but we must not forget, that our pets have humans who take care of them. And, just as our pets need care, sometimes we humans need help also.
As a pet sitter, I have many clients. I’ve had clients who have let me into their world and have let me know some of the things they are going through. One such client of mine has done just that. I’ve known for some time that she has leukemia.
Her name is Evelyn Perry, and I want to do what I can to help her fight this blood cancer. You see, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has an annual walk here in the Bay Area called Light the Night. It provides a way for us who care for those who have these diseases to do what we can to help raise money to fight these cancers, and to walk hand in hand with others who also want to do what we can to help.
For more information, please visit My Fundraising Page.
Light the Night is in San Jose on Sat. Oct. 14, starting at 5 pm, and I will be there. I am starting late in the fund raising, so I have set a modest goal of raising $500. I am part of Team Perry, and want to do what I can to help with the team’s goal of raising $10,000.
Please help those in need by donating to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, so new treatments can be found, and to help those who have these blood cancers to get the treatment they need right away. You can also join the walk!
