Time to Fight for Tax Break for Pet Care Costs

I told you in a previous post about the HAPPY Act, or the Humanity and Pets Partnered Through the Years act. You can read that post about H.R. 3501 right now. If the bill passes, pet owners will be able to write off up to $3500 each year on their taxes for qualified pet care costs.

Read about the HAPPY Act here.

I am bringing this up again because now is the time to act. All pet owners need to take action so this bill does get passed. Please call, write, or email your U.S. Representative and let them know that you support the HAPPY Act (H.R. 3501), and that you want them to vote in favor of the bill.

The ASPCA has also made it easy to contact your Representative. You can put your information into a pre-written letter, make any changes you want to it, and it will be sent to your Representative based on your address. It couldn’t be easier. Go to this ASPCA website to send off your letter of support today.

I’ve already done it. Please join me in my support of this bill.
