Dog Breed Hightlight: The Havanese

The Havanese is the national dog of Cuba. He is considered a toy breed, but is sturdy enough to handle children. This old breed is highly intelligent, is trainable, and typically has an affectionate personality. The Havanese is energetic and playful, and does require regular exercise.

The Havanese, once called the Havana Silk Dog, is small, short-legged, and has a soft double coat. The coat is not harsh though, but rather it is silky and wavy, and comes in many various colors. The coat should remain untrimmed, and they do not shed, although they should be regularly groomed to keep the coat in shape.

I will have to pay attention to the dog shows I watch because I would like to see what this breed looks like. With your description, I saw a soft, cute and adorable little dog that would be waiting for anyone to come home to them and play.
