Salmonella Alert in Pig Ears and Beef Hooves Pet Treats

I want to alert you all that I still have not seen an update on the
Salmonella alert in pig ears and beef hooves pet treats made by Pet Carousel since November 5th when the FDA first came out with the warning.

The U.S. FDA warned of possible Salmonella contamination in all sizes and all lots of Doggie Delight and Pet Carousel Pig Ears, and Choo Hooves, Doggie Delight, and Pet Carousel beef hooves.

At the time of the warning, there had been no instances of illnesses, but pet owners should stop using these brands of pig ears and beef hooves for their dogs. Just by handling these pet treats, humans may become infected by the Salmonella virus themselves.

Some symptoms of Salmonella include naseau, vomiting, diarrhea, intestinal cramping, and fever. To find out more about the FDA alert, to read more about symptoms of
Salmonella, and what you can do to prevent infecting your dog with pet treats contaminated with Salmonella, click on the links.
